Memang Banyak banget album Kompilasi diera 90-an menjadi album terbaik dan berpengaruh bagi Gw mendapat referensi lebih banyak band didalamnya, disamping itu gw memang demen banget berburu album kompilasi seperti ini, bayangkan aja kalau dimasa yang sulit tahun 90-an pernah gw alami untuk mudah kembali mendapatkan album2 Metal buruan, sehingga beberapa album kompilasi ini sedikit mengobati kerinduan Gw akan perkembangan Musik metal yang berkembang terus semakin cepat, sehingga istilah " Ketinggalan " sempat gw rasakan deh, hik ! beruntung gw bisa mendapatkan beberapa daftar Hunting album gw walau hanya sebatas Kopian kaset aja hehehehe ... dan kompilasi Sadis yang gw dapet selanjutnya adalah Kompilasi " GORE IS YOUR MASTER " Jilid pertama ini yang hadir sebagai Bonus CD untuk majalah impor metal " Brutalized " zine, sayang gw lupa edisi ke berapa itu hahaha, dengan kemasan Artwork simple, Kompilasi menyuguhkan 28 band Kejam ! dan memang mulai ada beberapa nama Sadis yang gw kenal di Kompilasi ini untuk pertama kalinya, makanya menjadi sesuatu yang menarik untuk Gw ceritakan satu persatu materinya disini hehehe ... dihadirkan dengan Sounding track acak dan tetap mempertahankan Kualitas sound masing2 band menjadi Tujuan utama Razorback Records merilis kompilasi sebagai Rilisan ke-2 ini wujud Ketertarikan untuk mempublikasikan bersama sama dalam 1 paket Kompilasi beberapa band yang pernah dimuat dalam Majalah Metal Mortal Coil Zine yang menjadi Cikal bakal lahirnya Label yang banyak merilis band2 Goregrind dan Tema2 Horror. Theres a dual vocal assault with everything from puked gutturals, to midrange lows, to sick ear piercing highs... The drums are good and I especially like the snare sound. These guys bring back the days of great solos in deathmetal, with a talented solo in almost every song, and even a bass solo in one of them! If you dont have this album, youre really missing out on something great. This is sick brutal deathmetal that is far from average despite the familiar sick gore lyrics and imagery. Mandatory! .... " Feasting On The Flesh " milik PROPHECY tentunya sudah tidak asing lagi bagi Death Metal Fans Era 90-an khususnya Indonesia, yang mengenal Berat Salah satu Pioner Brutal Death Metal dengan sentuhan kental Groovy dan slam sebagai perpaduan antara Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Sintury dan Deeds Of Flesh, band asli Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas dengan album Fenomenal pertama " Foretold...Foreseen " tahun 1997 cukup menampar Scene Metal Internasional dengan konsep bermusik kerennya. Gitaris James Parks II yang adalah Musisi pertama gw kenal dan lakukan Interview memang sosok Metalhead yang Eksis dengan 3 anak remaja, bisa jadi James Parks II saat ini sudah menjadi Kakek bagi cucu2nya hahaha, lots of catchy and chunky riffs with fast double bass, blast beats or groovy beats backing them up. The grunts are deep while the screams are extremely biley. sangat memorable banget untuk Full album pertamanya tersebut hingga saat sekarang. ..... lalu ENGORGED dengan " Cobra K I S S " melaju cepat dan liar dengan Vokal Multiple yang Unik dari materi album Full perdananya " Death Metal Attack 2 " melalui Razorback Records ini. Based on almost nothing, I would say Engorged is the snake's head responsible for the thrice-cursed 'Razorback sound'; that combination of thrash, death, and grind which makes me want to have an aneurysm out of pure irritation. A small handful of bands have managed to pull it off and make it seem enjoyable- Splatterhouse comes to mind immediately- but for the most part it's a style which I find almost completely odious and embarrassingly insipid. This isn't an indictment of Razorback itself, really, because they've released a lot of music I really enjoy, but that particular style that label had such an infatuation with for a while is quite simply one of the most awful styles I've ever heard in extreme metal. And what better band to epitomize that sound than Engorged, a band with ties to both Frightmare and Blood Freak yet somehow more annoying than both of them combined. it is a representative of a style with no redeeming qualities that in and of itself has even FEWER redeeming qualities, putting it somewhere in the negative redeeming quality territory. Similar in style to Heartwork-era Carcass, the cd is flooded with a healthy balance of melody and aggression (in that the only time melody is present is during one of the wicked solos). Raul Varela's drumming is pretty good, although not altogether innovative for a death/grind band, and he remains one of my favorite drum idols...even though the drums are garbled at times in this album due to the production... BRUTAL RAW AS HEAVY !!! ........ kemudian salah satu band Faforite Gw nih, FLESH FEAST melaju dasyat dengan " Tormented By Incarceration ", band asal Ontario, Kanada ini memiliki Aransemen Brutal Death yang menarik dengan Raungan Deep Guttural Vokill mengerikannya ! dari CD pertamanya " Flesh Feast " Asli memamerkan Kedasyatan Komposisi Lagu dengan Duo Vokalis Daryl Jadischke dan Jeff Van Bynen memang begitu mengundang perhatian lebih Gw. namun sayang banget kalo band ini harus memutuskan untuk bubar jalan setelah merilis Full album pertama ini. dari Negeri Kanguru, Australia pun mengirimkan utusan Penjagal kejamnya melalui Track " With Her Cunt She Fucks ", INTENSE HAMMER RAGE mungkin juga sempat begitu populer namanya di era 90-an pada scene kita, dari materi Full album pertamnya " Devogrindporngorecoreaphile " tahu 1999, band ini sudah menawarkan gaya bermusik dan sound " Unik " sehingga mengundang penasaran banyak fans-nya, perpaduan Komplek antara Brutal Death Metal dengan Goregrind Konsep, cukup mengaburkan Imej utama band ini sendiri. band yang bermarkas di Burnie, Tasmania ini memang kerap membuat Kontroversial dengan Imej-nya, hingga pada album full ke- 2 " Avagoyamugs " tahun 2001, Pada tanggal 15 Mei 2003, sekitar 200 Kopi CD " Avagoyamugs " disita oleh petugas bea cukai karena Artwork Kovernya terlalu ekstrim dan memuat lirik tentang pornografi anak dan tindakan ilegal lainnya sehingga Trio band ini masing-masing kena denda $ 500 di bawah Undang-Undang Kepabeanan di Pengadilan Magistrates Burnie, Australia. really put the hype on this album stating that it was one of the sickest, most bizzare, chunky goregrind albums ever created. As soon as I could, I picked this not really knowing what to expect, only going by the expert advice of Razorback. dan masih dari scene Australia, ENCABULOS menerjang sadis lewat " Shrine Of Souls " yang memiliki Konsep Brutal Death Metal dari comotan materi Demo ke-2 " Dark Divinity " tahun 1998, beberapa sentuhan Karakter Suffocation dan Bolt Thrower lumayan terasakan pada aransemen musik yang mereka tawarkan. ... lalu salah satu Pioner Grindcore dengan sentuhan elemen Goregrind populer jerman, SANITY'S DAWN meluncur dengan " Gargling With Rancid Pus " dari Full album paling Populer ke-2 nya " Mangled in the Meatgrinder " tahun 1998 yang menjadi rekaman terakhir band dengan konsep goregrind/splatter style, karena diketahui Progresi Musikalitas Sanity's Dawn sendiri banyak bergeser menjadi lebih grind/punk/fastcore menjelang album Ke-3 " Chop Copper " tahun 2001, The riffs are better done, just as heavy and fast, but more complex and interesting. They hold a bit more rhyhtym but still are choppy. The rhythym of the guitars shows up during the vocals, which are surprisingly better on this song. There are less toilet vocals, and mostly death metal vocals. They are a bit more coherant on this song, but still gargeled. I will say it again, I have heard better. The drums add a ton of volume to this song, they are very fast, and are done quite well. Their drumming is on par with some of the better bands I have heard. The main attraction to this song is that its very fast, heavy, and comes together well. It you disected this song, you would have average guitars, drums, and bass, but when put together it creates one tasteless brutal song that I don't have to think about when I listen. .... dan Mohon Perhatian selanjutnya adalah penampilan mengerikan salah satu Band Brutal Technical Death Metal terbaik yang dimiliki oleh USA scene dan menginspirasi banyak generasi selanjutnya, ORIGIN !! yess Origin untuk pertama kali gw kenal namanya ya dari album kompilasi ini hehehe, dengan track " Manimal Instincts " dari Demo Pertama mereka " A Coming into Existence " tahun 1998, band sadis asli Topeka, Kansas yang eksis sejak 1997 memang mengusung konsep Brutal musik yang berbeda dari lainnya, lebih menonjolkan permainan yang teknikal, Riff yang cepat dan Multiple Pattern Vokal yang padat ! masih menampilkan formasi asli dasyatnya, Origin melenggang garang dengan komposisi musik Dinamis, an extremely evident lack of inspired riffs, instead preferring to try to captivate the listener through snare-driven drum beats overlapping extremely hackneyed riffing patterns who both have some of the best production jobs in the death metal world. The drums exist just below the guitars, while the vocals and guitars sit more or less on the same level, neither overpowering the other. dan inilah debut awal mengerikan Origin !! Arrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhh ...... SPINECAST, band brutal death asal Harvest, Alabama ini memuntahkan " Nightmares Of Depravity " dari Demo kaset independen " Nightmares of Depravity " tahun 1998 menampilkan permainan Sadis Drummer Gary White yang kondang lewat Gaya Blastbeat snare tajam-nya. The similarity to Spinal Cord comes in the form of some ill-advised jaunts into pseudo-progressive territory thanks to the bass guitar. I don't have a problem with an audible, creative bass role in death metal- quite the contrary, I always like it when the underappreciated instrument is a significant player- but the bass is so loud and the basslines so ostentatious that they just end up distracting from the bulk of the riffs more often than not. Exacerbating this is the band's tendency to lurch into open, vaguely prog sections with lots of shimmering cymbal runs and weird, incongruous riffs which have nothing to do with the bulk of the fairly straightforward death metal which makes up this album. " Tahun 1998, Vocals are classic guttural, almost gurgling pukes. There is a fair dosage of medium technicality, a few dynamics thrown in to add interest, and some good riffs here and there. It gets monotonous at times, but this is nothing new to death metal. I don't say this as a negative thing. It is brutal. It is nothing truly unique, but nothing dissappointing in the least. As with all goregrind, Carcass obviously has some influence in there but Gore gives it their own unique spin. dan masih dari Brazil scene yang bertabur subur perkembangan Gore themenya, ROTTING FLESH selanjutnya memuntahkan " Suppurated Inflammation Of Fecal Excretor " dari materi CD pertamanya " Submandible Limphatic Muscles " Tahun 1995, permaian Musik yang cepat dan sentuhan Goregrind Riffing menjadi Ritual mantap band ini tampil liar dan menjijikkan lewat lirik lagunya. On a few sections there is a pitch shifter on his vocals, making them dive down into deeper regions, and can sound and reek like the insides to a vociferous, grimy septic tank. The guitars and bass are still bolstered with near subatomic levels. It literally sounds like a wall of thick bass tone, without much light peaking out from the end of the tunnel. And, by now, honestly make them appear to be a typical aspect within the genre compared to the distinct guitar tone of the previous recording. The faster riffs remind me of melodic death metal when I hear many of them, focusing on some odd atmospheric melody than a rhythm. I cannot discern the level of technicality on the instruments; however, technicality in this type of music should be a thing that doesn't shove itself in your face in the first place. The drums appear to compete with the guitars at times in the area of audibility, which detracts a good bit from the sound. lalu dedengkot Grindcore Perancis, INHUMATE melaju kencang dengan " Sodomy " yang diambil dari Album CD ke-2 " Ex-Pulsion " tahun 1997, tetap garang menyerang melalui fast Blastbeat grind Freak-nya. the maniacal grinding sets off. Through the entire CD I keep thinking that the drummer will lose control, 'cause this is crazy. I can't find any other words to describe the drumming other than fast and crazy. It sounds like it's gonna get out of hand at any second. Something you just have to hear to understand. Guitar riffs are very metallic at the same time. trus TREPHINATION dengan " Buds" dengan hentakan Brutal Death Metal dinamis, band asal Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ini lumayan memainkan Gaya Brutal death dengan karakter Vokal Harsh Growl intens. dari materi demo pertama " Trephination " tahun 1998, the riffing is completely generic, the solos sound out of place, the bassist might as well have stayed home, and the drumming frequently sounds like one of those wind-up monkeys. Trephination don’t have any releases to their name besides this, and it’s not hard to see why; apparently, they weren’t even good enough to hack it in the white power scene. Stay far away from this one. dan semakin lama makin Bingung juga gw mencerna Konsep musik yang ditawarkan, dan sepertinya urutan Tracklist-nya memang secara acak dilakukan. 4 SEATS 4 INVALIDES, dengan " Necrobestiality " perpaduan musik Death metal dengan Goregrind Unik, ... lalu Gaya Musik EXECRATOR via Track " Grotesque " banyak mengingatkan gw dengan karakteristik Death Metal-nya Nocturnus dan Morbid Angel lawas. dan RIGOR SARDONICOUS mengakhiri Track kompilasi ini dengan " Seasons Of The Dead " diambil dari materi demo pertama " Risus ex Mortuus " tahun 1994. which definitely helps the atmosphere. Oddly enough, the drums do sound a bit better, and they hint at an impressive amount of diversity. While they're happy going along at a slow, deadly pace, they do occasionally break out into some speedy flurries, and even some extremely fast blast beats, like in Parasitosis. Still, the moments you recognise are rare, with almost everything sounding like some sub sonic drone.
